Hebrews 10:36 - Infinite Endurance
Step 1: Pray. Select.
This morning, waking up was painfully hard due to several life-changing events that have occurred simultaneously over the past few days and will continue in the coming week.
The Holy Spirit told me to examine my ability to meet every need. Sometimes, we can cancel things to ease our schedule, but what do you do when things pile up, people you love have unexpected needs, and you do not have the option to push things aside?
As I prayed this morning, the Holy Spirit led me to Hebrews 10:36 for instruction. Let's begin there.
Step 2: Write. Read. Circle
Hebrews 10:36 - For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise:
After reading the scripture three times, the following words stood out amongst the others:
You Need
Endurance
After
You May Receive The Promise
Step 3: Re-Write
With a focus on the words that stood out, here is the personalized sentence(s) placed upon my heart:
Jennifer, you need endurance; after, you may receive the promise.
Step 4: Visualize
As the words soak into my soul, the Holy Spirit is helping me relate to and understand God's capacity to ensure the requests and needs of everything he created.
He wants me to know through his capacity to endure one more prayer request, one more child going astray only to hope he will return to him one day, one more…(you fill in the blank). And yet, he continues to be consistently magnificent, steadfast, and unmovable. He keeps his word, he unconditionally loves, and his ability to maintain peace is endless and unsurpassed.
I feel the Holy Spirit telling me not to pray for the tough times, obstacles, or opposition to go away; instead, pray for God to give me the capacity to endure and know God is with me in every challenge and trial. Only he can increase my capacity beyond human comprehension, giving me the assurance through this storm that this, too, shall pass. On the other side is, his promise awaits
A rainbow comes to mind. I always wondered what was on the other side of a rainbow. And if I look at God's covenant with Noah in Chapter 9:12-17: 12 And God said: "This is the sign of the covenant which I make between Me and you, and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations: 13 I set My rainbow in the cloud, and it shall be for the sign of the covenant between Me and the earth. 14 It shall be, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the rainbow shall be seen in the cloud; 15 and I will remember My covenant which is between Me and you and every living creature of all flesh; the waters shall never again become a flood to destroy all flesh. 16 The rainbow shall be in the cloud, and I will look on it to remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is on the earth." 17 And God said to Noah, "This is the sign of the covenant which I have established between Me and all flesh that is on the earth - I believe I have found my answer.
No matter how high or wide it is, what direction it comes from, or where it leads, the end of the rainbow holds God's promise. So remember, regardless of how many things come your way, how many people pull or lean on you in your life, or how good or bad situations may seem, there is always a promise waiting for you on the side. You just have to cross over and enter into the land of his promise, filled with milk and honey, and he will give you rest.
Step 5: Ask. Seek
The words that came to mind were:
Holy Spirit, how can I pull down the manna of endurance from heaven to feed me through every situation I encounter today?
Step 6: Hear. Write. Receive
"Look up. In every situation, in everything that comes your way, look up. While you cover something on earth, he is covering you. His word in Matthew 18:18 says that whatever you bind on earth will be loosed in heaven. Understand you have the authority to tap into the endless, infinite capacity to handle anything you encounter that he sets in front of you today. Don't grow weary or lose hope in doing good. Your Father is with you always, and his promises are - yes and Amen!"
Step 7: Pray. Confirm
Thank you, Father God, for increasing my awareness of you. Thank you for reminding me that through Jesus, I have seen an example of how to endure the toughest situations. Help me look up today, rising above in all situations.
Increase my capacity, LORD. When my flesh weakens, or my heart hurts, let me only engage with the people, situations, or battles you have allowed. If you have allowed something, you have blessed me with the capacity to steward what you have placed in my hands.
I pray a hedge of protection over my heart and infinite endurance through Jesus - sealing this prayer with the precious blood of Jesus - Amen!

Conclusion:
Today, let's lean into the promise that God has something more precious than gold on the other side of your rainbow.
Whatever we face, make sure God has placed it in front of us before we take on something we are not capable of.
Everything He has given you, trust he will supply you with the endurance you need.
Tap into his infinite capacity to see you through any and all situations victoriously as Jesus did!
Stay peaceful today, friends. See you tomorrow!
