2 Samual 22:33 - Be Encouraged!

Step 1: Pray. Select.

The Holy Spirit surprised me this morning, waking me up with a huge pep in my step.

I had more energy than I could imagine and was ready to face a long day of moving ahead.

As I looked up scripture to encapsulate my feelings, the words "On God's Power" kept coming to mind.

This led me to read 2 Samuel 22:33, the word for today.

Step 2: Write. Read. Circle

2 Samuel 22:33 - God is my strength and power, And He makes my way perfect.

After reading the scripture three times, the following words stood out amongst the others:

  • God Is

  • Strength

  • Power

  • Perfect

Step 3: Re-Write

With a focus on the words that stood out, here is the personalized sentence(s) placed upon my heart:

  • Jennifer, God is strength, power, and perfect.

Step 4: Visualize

Meditating on these words makes me think about all the beautiful and amazing things God is!

It doesn't say he has strength and power; he is these things. He is love, he is mighty, and the list goes on and on.

Since I have been doing a massive amount of physical labor over the past few days, I truly marveled at the strength God was giving me to push through this final day. But if the one who is is with me, then who or what can be against me?

I feel encouragement and strength filling me up even as I write this devotional right now!

The scriptures: Philippians 4:13 - I can do all things through Christ Jesus who strengthens me, and John 14:16 - I am the way, the truth and the light. No man comes to the Father except through me, comes flooding into my thoughts.

If we understand through believing in Jesus and his resurrection power, we can handle any situation that comes our way. He can supply infinite strength, tapping into the perfect power of God or the one who is.

Today, move forward and be encouraged, knowing all paths have been made perfect and you have the strength, through Christ Jesus, to come to the one who is all things, omnipresent, and everywhere, to give you everything you need.

Step 5: Ask. Seek

The words that came to mind were:

  • Holy Spirit, how can I stay encouraged as I move through the day today?

Step 6: Hear. Write. Receive

"You may or may not be able to, but He can, He will, and He is. Jesus is in you, so you must understand he is not separate from you. When you are weak or stumble, he will carry you. He is the head and not the tail. You may not be able to think of many words in challenging situations, but if you can hold onto the words "He is"  in the middle of your trials or tribulations, you will know that He is your refuge. He is your very present help in trouble. He is perfect in your weakness. Be strong and very courageous, and know He is with you!"

Step 7: Pray. Confirm

Heavenly Father, thank you for giving me the encouragement and the clarity I need to face my day ahead. Thank you for giving me the simple yet powerful words "He is" as a reminder of your unsurmountable power and all you are. Let me move only when covered by you today, and help me remember your omnipresence, relying on your infinite strength to be a better example of what it looks like to live a life powered by the resurrection of Jesus, who dwells within me. Thank you for going ahead of me today and making a way when I can't see one. Thank you for being a good father and my LORD and Savior. I seal with prayer with the blood of Jesus - Amen!

Conclusion:

Be encouraged today! Go boldly where God sends you, and rely on the fact He is  all things you need.

Let us be a light today everywhere we go, demonstrating a life well lived through the power of the Holy Spirit and the assurance of our Father through the resurrection of Jesus!

See you tomorrow, friends!
