Exodus 15:25 - Sweet Water
Step 1: Pray. Select.
Today’s prayer time was solely focused on illness and healing. The enemy is surrounding so many with sickness and disease. I must admit that over the past few months, I have noticed more individuals in need of healing, not only for themselves but also for their family and friends.
I asked the Holy Spirit to guide me to scripture that would help me understand how we can overcome these afflictions on a deeper level. He led me to Exodus 15:25.
This is where I began my journey today, friends.
Step 2: Write. Read. Circle
After reading the scripture three times, the following words stood out amongst the others:
Exodus 15:25 - So he cried out to the Lord, and the Lord showed him a tree. When he cast it into the waters, the waters were made sweet.
Step 3: Re-Write
With a focus on the words I circled that stood out, here is the personalized sentence that came alive in my heart.
Jennifer, cried, the LORD showed a tree, the waters were made sweet.
If you are doing this alongside me today, add your name in front of your unique sentence so the Lord can speak directly to you.
Step 4: Visualize
I close my eyes and begin to visualize Moses standing by a riverbed. He is saddened by the overwhelming groans he hears from the people in the distance, back at the village. He tried so hard to lead everyone to a better life, but they could not see what he had seen or hear what he had heard directly from God.
Their selfish ambitions hinder them, as they focus solely on what they lack. They are not just groaning but wailing while Moses stands alone, feeling helpless to end their suffering. So what does he do?
He does what he usually does: He goes to the wilderness, where it is quieter than amongst the anguish and complaining, and asks for an encounter with God, the one who can provide a way. Moses knows that the only solution will come from God. He is utterly alone on this earth, but never in the spiritual, since he was always blessed to have direct encounters with the LORD.
He puts his hands up to his ears to drown out the noise and looks up to the sky towards God. He knows he led the people to this place where the LORD promised a better life. He wishes he could show them the future the LORD promises. This affliction is better than where they came from, even though it doesn’t feel like it now. They are tormented by having water right in front of them. However, it is not drinkable, and they are in agony from thirst. In his weakened state, Moses does what we all should do: drown out the noise and look to God.
There he stands, alone and crying out, tears streaming down his face, emulating the river he stands next to in my vision. He tells the LORD he is desperate for a way to quench the people’s thirst and find a solution to make the people remove the bitterness of their hearts, hence the bitterness in the water.
The Holy Spirit tells me that with one cry out to the LORD, the LORD answered Moses and gave him a solution.
How many of us cry out to the Lord with everything we have, desperate for Him to heal our situation? With the belief that only he could help us. Letting out an unadulterated guttural desperation to end our suffering and make a better way. Moses didn’t go to his friends or colleagues; he went straight to the Lord and cried out.
Lately, I have been praying over a lot of friends and family and even my own health problems (though minor in comparison to some). I feel their pain, fear, and defeated spirit as I pray. At times, I have even been defeated. It is as if the territory is plagued by sickness and ailments everywhere. So today, friends, let’s cry out to the LORD not over the illness or problem but for a solution, a word, a way to help fight disease, affliction, addiction, ailments, or any other thing running rampant in the earth and in your city, church, family, or territory in which you touch. Cry out with all your heart. Let’s stop contributing to the bitterness and expect a miracle and a supernatural solution directly from God. He is still on the throne! Let’s keep our eyes open; I believe our tree to make the water sweet is just a cry away!
A question arises, so I move to Step 5.
Step 5: Ask. Seek
The requests/questions that came to mind are:
Holy Spirit, where does this cry come from so I can grab the LORD's attention the way Moses did?
Step 6: Hear. Write. Receive
Here is the answer I received:
“Close your eyes. Now, pay attention to the places you hold tension in your body. Every place you feel as if you are in bondage, breathe in and push out whatever has been residing there for too long. As these things leave, continue to breathe in the Holy Spirit to fill all the places that need healing. Fill every void. When you breathe, know I am replacing your fear with love. I am regenerating your body where it has been hurt. I am resurrecting your body to release all things to me and allowing more room for my love and peace. Your breath is the tree that is thrown into your body, and the places of hurt, deception, pain, or grieving will become sweet, like the body, into every cell. Command all the demons or occupants that are not of the LORD to leave in the name of Jesus, which is the name above all names. Check-in each day to remind yourself that I am Jehovah-Rapha. Believe I am who I say I am. Cry out, releasing your bondage and tension in your body, and replace it with the breath of the Holy Spirit, which is the breath of life, resurrecting your body back to the way God intended.”
Step 7: Pray. Confirm
Heavenly Father, I come to you through your son Jesus. Please remind me throughout my day to breathe. Breathe out anything that is not of you or your will for my life, and let me only breathe in the breath of your spirit to heal and fill every place in my body.
As I pray for others and their healing, I ask that we learn that your breath is the living water feeding the tree planted on the side of the stream in my vision, crying out to you until you answer. Let me be rooted in you. Let nothing tear me apart from you forevermore.
I pray this in the mighty name of Jesus - Amen!

Conclusion:
Friends, today, let’s be like trees rooted in the Lord and know that if we cry out to Him, He will answer, taking something natural and supernaturally changing our circumstances.
Cry out to the LORD with all your might. He is listening and waiting to answer.
Drown out the enemy of fear, doubt, and bitterness, and remain sweet, filled with his everlasting presence.
God bless you. See you soon!
