Isaiah 22:10 - Less Flesh More Spirit
Step 1: Pray. Select.
As I began my prayer time, reflecting on where the Holy Spirit might lead me today, He brought me back to the book of Isaiah. Specifically to Chapter 22:22, which I previously wrote about in my blog “Keys to the Anointing,” in which he also prompted me to re-read as a prelude to some things we would discuss later together.
As I reviewed both Chapter 22 of Isaiah and my blog, the Holy Spirit prompted me to revisit the previous chapter, Isaiah 21. He wasn’t through with what he needed me to find. And in Isaiah 21:10, that old familiar feeling of alignment came rushing back.
So I knew it was time to begin, friends, and moved to Step 2.
Step 2: Write. Read. Circle
After reading the scripture three times, the following words stood out amongst the others:
Isaiah 21:10 - Oh, my threshing and the grain of my floor! That which I have heard from the Lord of hosts, The God of Israel, I have declared to you.
Step 3: Re-Write
With a focus on the words I circled that stood out, here is the personalized sentence that came alive in my heart.
Jennifer, my threshing, the grain on my floor, I have heard from the Lord.
If you are doing this alongside me today, add your name in front of your unique sentence so the Lord can speak directly to you.
Step 4: Visualize
I picture myself dressed in clothing that resembles burlap. I am unclean, and my body is weak. I feel tormented and anguished. I look up at the sky for light, but the sky is dark and red, even though the afternoon sun hasn’t set. I dread the fact that night will come soon.
I am watching the sun still dangling in the sky, like a puppet on a string, waiting to be pulled out of view by God as he drops in the moon to take its place. Shortly, I will be left in the darkness of the night.
I fall to my knees since I can no longer stand, but I don’t dare look away from the light. I wonder where the LORD is taking me today with this vision. I don’t want to be left here.
Just then, the Holy Spirit showed me four angelic beings in the sky, strategically placed in the North, South, East, and West. They are waiting for the right moment to strike. There is an assignment over my life. It will take all four of them striking down on God’s command to pull me out of whatever is tormenting me where I am kneeling.
I look up at the sky, and like a clock that has just run out of time, it ticks extremely fast, counting down to a shift—a shift that is earth-shattering, and the ground beneath my feet will eventually be taken away. How can I withstand what is about to happen?
I look down and realize I am on the LORD's threshing floor. The angels are the winnowing tools. I just need to hang on, and in the shifting, I will be lifted away from all the things living in this world and taken to a safe place with my Father.
A question arises, so I move to Step 5.
Step 5: Ask. Seek
The requests/questions that came to mind are:
Holy Spirit, will this threshing kill me?
Step 6: Hear. Write. Receive
Here is the answer I received:
“No. It will not kill you in the flesh nor in the spirit. You have already been given eternal life through baptism. This threshing is giving you new wineskins. This is releasing you of all things attached to you that you didn’t ask for. My child, you can only pray for what you know; you can only pray to be released from things of which you have knowledge. When you opened your eyes to this world, you could no longer see the spirit world. Why did Eve talk to the serpent, and as you read, it never said anything about her feeling weird or strange that she is talking to a talking snake?! It was because before she ate the fruit, she operated predominantly in spirit, not flesh. In spirit, things do not make sense in the flesh. It's time to reverse this order. Go back to more spirit and less flesh. In this vision, you will not die in spirit, but GOD will kill what needs to be killed in the flesh to release you into the anointing and its fullness over your life. You wrote in your blog before, in Isaiah 22:22, you are waiting to pick up the key to the door where the oil will flood over you - the time is now. And as the angels sift you, I will clothe you in righteousness once all the chaff has fallen from you. Sifting takes time, but I am creating a new thing in you, and when we are done, and I drop you off in the place where I have picked you up, you will no longer walk by sight or walk by the flesh, but rather, walk by faith. The appointed time is on the way. Do not be afraid or dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you. Pick up your key, hold on tight to it through the sifting, and be ready to open the door.”
Step 7: Pray. Confirm
Heavenly Father, I come to you through your son Jesus. I come to you humbly, ready to pick up the key on your command at a moment's notice, and will not be dismayed. I will not be afraid of the sifting or the shifting of my life or my ways. Make my ways your ways! For through this sifting, you will separate me to do your will.
I promise to honor you and glorify you all the days of my life - forever and ever - AMEN!

Conclusion:
Friends, hang on tight and get ready to be sifted, dropping off everything you were not meant to carry on the threshing floor.
Hang tight to the LORD and the key given to you. Hold it tight in your grasp since there will be knowns and unknowns in the process and our journey ahead. When you are weak, lean into Christ Jesus, for in our weakness, he is strong.
Grab your key and be ready to unlock the door to the David anointing.
Most of all, never forget that in all things glorify the LORD.
God bless you all! See you soon.
